Yesterday I received my Google Wave invite. Don’t know what Google Wave is? You can watch a (long) video about it at http://wave.google.com. Basically it’s is a multi-platform internet collaboration tool. If you don’t like ineracting with people, move along, this isn’t for you. You can read more about it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Wave.

When I received my invite, I was given the opportunity to invite 20 people to Google Wave. As I still have a few left, I thought I make it fun. Thats where you come in! Would you like an invite? If so, why?! Why do you deserve an invite from me? Leave me some interesting answers in the comments, and I may just invite you.
Update: More invites available from my friend over at GrahamPlata.com http://www.grahamplata.com/?p=272
Update 2: Even more invites available from these websites:

Hey,
I would love a google wave invite if you have any left. I love all things google and am very interested in what they are doing and would love to be a part of it. Also google wave sounds like a great way to make collaborating with my classmates much easier as we all live far apart and group projects would be alot simpler with the help of wave. Hope to wave with you soon
Thanks,
Mike

kannan.a says:
Brandon, I hope to try google wave to see the potential to collaborate with global team members and customers on a design project.
Here’s how I imagine it could work. Google wave would be one place to track customer requests by different customers (these might be just conversations with customers) but a designer would find user needs in those conversations and tag them. Also we would have conversations with business stakeholders who might have their own requirements based on market. Others conversations would include – implementation feedback by different developers, decision feedback and prioritization by different managers and project managers. So you’d have complete track of who wanted what, who said what, what decision was made, what got implemented, what was the user feedback, etc all in a single place (google wave) – which is almost impossible to do with the current interaction paradigms.
If you have an invite left – please send it to kannana at gmail. Thanks.

You see Brandon, I am stuck here, at a crossroads. I need an invite, because without one my plans for global domination with an army of wave powered robots are stuck in first gear, but if I get an invite from you, I will feel indebted to you, and may not be able to rule with the absolute tyranny. I understand that when most people talk about “robots” with reference to google wave, they are talking about programs that operate inside the wave to enhance its performance. You have to realize that when I talk about robots, I am talking about intimidating metal machines whose destructive power could be increased ten-fold with the integration of the wave engine (don’t ask me how, its very complicated).
In conclusion, please, can you send me an invite, I promise to spare you
Chris

hello
I hope you still have 1 invite left for a fellow blogger. I’ll really appreciate the invite since I’m always the first one to communicate it to my people.. Friends, colleagues. I have been looking forward to this for a long time and since I always live away from home and friends and I use gmail for many purposes. Now with Wave I can finally organize and track my business communications, family&friend threads and the rest!
It’ll mean so much,
Cheers,

Ello Brandon,
Just wanted to say that with a google wave, i’d be able to crash upon the shores of the entire world. Ok, gettin’ a little poetic. Really, email is just losing its luster. The next gen communication network is going to be the interconnectivity of google wave. I have a feeling that it’s going to spread (ripple?) to everyone everywhere…and eventually onto handhelds (if not already).
I would also like it to help communicate with the various non-profits I work with to gather and edit information even faster.
Thanks in advance and good luck to you and everyone else.
Take care,
-Pat
